Mario was my First Sergeant in Japan, where I commanded an Air Force Communications Squadron. He was a priceless asset as we frequently navigated human issues. Mario personally managed all of our people issues, excelling at first connecting on a human level, second identifying the right method to communicate (coaching, mentoring, therapy recommendation, etc.), and third navigating issue closure and onward movement.
I found Mario’s positive but realistic, pragmatic approach extremely effective and uplifting for all of our unit members. He is very easy to talk to and quickly breaks down barriers to effective communication. I can’t think of another person I’d turn to before Mario to lead an endeavor designed to optimize a workforce or an individual’s performance.
